Yummy Yogurt Parfait

1 pear sliced in
fourths/
sixths
fractions
1 peach sliced in
fourths/
sixths
counting
seedless
grapes
patterning
strawberries/
blueberries
individual container of
plain, nonfat yogurt
Individual child’s
snack:
Reserve either a couple of peach/
pear slices or the number of berries that matches the
child’s age for garnish.
In a parfait glass or dessert
bowl layer peaches, yogurt, pears, yogurt, grapes, yogurt,
berries, yogurt. Garnish with the chosen fruit set aside.
For the family:
2 pears sliced in fourths/ sixths
4 peaches sliced the same
24 ozs. plain, nonfat yogurt
seedless grapes
strawberries/ blueberries
Follow the above procedure
encouraging the child to create a different pattern for
each parfait.
Bananas, melons and orange
sections make yummy substitutes.

Scavenger Hunt:
Search the house for patterns on
floors, wallpaper, clothes etc. Touch the pattern and
repeat it out loud.
