Welcome to Nature
Knowledge!
Welcome to Nature Knowledge, where
Children and Nature are linked by knowledge of our
environment. I would like to take a moment to introduce my
column to you. In this column I am hoping to bring
knowledge and respect of our environment. I will talk
about insects, animals, amphibians, birds, trees, flowers,
and any other living species that we share our planet
with. Since nature is defined as an innate (natural)
environment, I will also include articles on “Mother
Nature” such as tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, lightening,
and natural disasters.
I
sincerely hope that, together, we can learn all of
nature’s mysteries that keep our planet fully balanced.
With your help, we can raise our children with an
environmental conscience and to respect our vast world.
You as a parent, teacher, or educator can make a
difference in our future, and the future of our children‘s
environmental worldview. I am hoping this column will make
you become more aware of your surroundings, and to answer
many of the wonderful questions children often ask about
nature.
“By educating ourselves, we are educating our children”
If you have a question or would like for me to discuss a
specific animal, tree, insect, etc., you can e-mail me at
Judi@ChildCareMagazine.zzn.com and put “Nature &
Children Request” in the subject area. Also, comments and
feedback are welcomed and appreciated.
Also, be sure to visit my Nature Trivia Column where I
will post fun facts and trivia about nature.
